“I
can’t believe how good this business is, it’s better than I expected.
To sell 150 cups (in a day) after 10 days goes beyond my wildest
dreams. I thought it would take me 6 months to achieve numbers like
that. Here I am 2 weeks in and I’m already looking at earning $100
grand a year just from my Monday to Friday run. Then add to that
weekend work! I’ve received so many requests from the local community
for functions and sporting events that for the foreseeable future I can
fill my weekends with as much work as I want.
I
was confident from the beginning that the business would do well. I
knew that Espresso To Go would get me to 100 cups (a day) but I think
the secret to my success has been the marketing and “on the job”

Firstly,
the training I received has been outstanding. On top of the 4 days
barista training, I received more than 2 weeks on the job training in
my run and Christine my trainer stayed with me until I was completely
comfortable and able to do it on my own. Not only did I learn to make
great coffee really fast, but I also learnt how to get customers and
keep them.
A big
part of this was the Espresso To Go marketing program. I don’t have a
sales background, so marketing is not my strong suit. But having a
proper 12-month program in place has made marketing easy for me. It’s
really simple to follow and I received stacks of printed materials to
use such as flyers, menus, loyalty cards, vouchers etc as part of my
start up . Everything looks so professional and customers really take
me seriously when I walk through the door.
The
after sales support has also been great. It’s still early days and at
the moment I’m speaking with my trainer every day to keep her up to
date on my progress. It’s comforting to know that she’s just a phone
call away and that I can call her anytime I need to with questions.
